School Holidays in Australia
Each of 6 states and 2 territories in Australia has the right to make their own decision about the regional school calender. There are 4 main holidays during a school year. These are 2 weeks at Easter time, 2 weeks in winter, 2 weeks in spring and around 6 weeks starting in the middle of December until the end of January, covering Christmas and New Year's Eve.
