Forest Fires
The climate in Australia is pretty warm. Therefore, forest fires occur very often and enlarge themselves very easily. They do not only threaten the vegetation and the animal world but also the residental areas and farms. Due to this reason, in case a danger of fire exists, it is forbidden to make any kind of open fire, even inside the residental areas. Failure to obey this rule might cause high penalties. During the seasons of high fire risk, signs are placed on high risk areas and the media informs the public about possible precautions to prevent fire.
