Climate of Hobart
Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania, has a typical maritime climate with four distinct seasons. Some summers are quite hot and some winters can be cold, but in general the weather is mild.
The best time to visit Hobart is the southern hemisphere summer time (December to February). During summer, it is warm during the daytime, around 20 degrees, and mild in the evenings. Spring (September to November) is a partly rainy mostly sunny step towards a warm summer while autumn (March to May) is the season of the ideal comfort temperature, combines the picturesque sights that the season alteration bestows. Winter, on the other hand, might be felt pretty cold due to the humidity, although it rarely goes below zero in Hobart. It is recommended to have warm clothes with in any case.
Hobart is known to be one of the dryest cities in Australia. The amount of rain is distributed all around the year and the rain can turn into snow during winter. It snows very seldom in Hobart city but more often on the mountains nearby.
