Western Australia
Western Australia (WA) is the largest state in Australia, occupying one third of Australian continent. Its isolated nature has resulted in the perfect preservation of Aussie way of life. Although the state is as big as continental Europe, it is incredible that only 2 million people live in WA, 75% of whom are settled down in Perth, the capital city. No wonder! Perth is the biggest city in Western Australia and the most sunny capital city in Australia. The sun, surf and nature attracts more and more visitors which boosted up the economy enormously during the previous years.
Western Australia is like a paradise with its fascinating nature! It is surrounded by Indian Ocean, Southern Ocean and Timor Sea. The state consists of 5 regions, each of which is more charming than another. Experience Perth is the smallest region while Golden Outback is the biggest one, occupying 54% of Western Australia. Coral Coast is along Indian Ocean around 1000km north of Perth and is the most favorite destination of dolphin lovers. North West is further north of Coral Coast and is bordered by Timor Sea. It is the right place for a real Aussie outback adventure. South West has a coast to Southern Ocean and impresses every visitor with its white sand beaches and turquoise sea.
Did you know that Ningaloo Reef is one of the largest reefs in the world? In fact it is not far from the coast. Just a couple of hundred meters at some spots... The friendly sharks at Shark Bay welcome the guests for a round of swimming. Don't worry, they are vegetarian! The national parks are amazing. Esplanade is a must-see!
