It is a branch of National Gallery of Victoria and is home to twenty galleries that exhibit the largest collection of "Australian Art" in the world. Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is also a must-see part of Federation Square where many amazing Australian and international movies are being displayed in two multi-format cinemas. If you still have time, do not miss Champions Australian Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, National Design Centre and Function Centre. 1 hour guided tours are available from Monday to Saturday at 11am and 2pm for those who prefer to learn more about the history and architecture of the square as well as the attractions offered.

Melbourne Visitor Centre is also located in the square and it is definitely recommended to make a visit there. With their assistance, you will explore Melbourne and its surroundings without missing a single beauty and give no chance to a late disappointment.
