If you would like to give a try, Cascade Brewery is the right place to visit. Cascade Brewery was founded by Peter Degraves in 1824. It has been operating uninterrupted since then and is known as the oldest brewery in Australia. Nowadays, the brewery is owned by Foster's Group and it keeps on producing some of the finest beers of Australia.

A guided tour through Cascade Brewery can be a unique part of your trip in Tasmania. See the step-by-step production process of some of topnotch Australian beers, from brewing and fermentation to bottling, enjoying the historic atmosphere in the brewery. And don't forget to spare at least half an hour to taste what you have observed! This is the most valuable part of the day, for sure... Cascade Brewery is a fully-operational work site so several precautions have been taken for both the employer's and visitors' safety. Visitors must wear flat, covered shoes and long trousers.

Cascade Brewery is located in South Hobart and it takes just 10 minutes by bus or car to get there.
