Hobart

Named after Lord Robert Hobart, the secratary for colonies, Hobart was founded in 1825 and it soon turned to be the capital city of Tasmania which is, in the meanwhile, the biggest island of Australia. Hobart is Australia's southmost city and is surrounded by Tasman Sea, majestic Mount Wellington and spectacular Derwent River. In addition to being the capital city, it is also commercial centre of Tasmania. The harbour is especially important for Antartic operations of Australia and France.

Hobart is home to over 200,000 people and the city has more than enough to offer in order to entertain all of its residents as well as its visitors. The wild and intact nature of Hobart and surroundings is truely unrivaled. There is no limit of outdoor activities. In addition to diverse water and mountain sports, fabulous landmarks that are waiting to be rediscovered, parks, picnic/barbecue places, historical city centre, the lovely harbour and of course Cascade Brewery are only some of the options that promise a great time... The festivals in Hobart are also great recreational events. Hobart Summer Festival is simply the best! Draw your route accordingly if possible, to be in Hobart during the festival. You won't regret!
