Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is a real lifetime experience and a must-see for every visitor in South Australia. This nature paradise is the third biggest island in Australia, and the wildlife and landscape on the island is amazing! The island is named after its cute kangaroos but that is not all. Each coast of the island is a different habitat. The west coast is home to seals while south coast welcomes the fairy little penguins every evening, that return from their hunting trip. The bird sanctuary exhibits the stunning world of birds. Everybody is invited!

The landscape of Kangaroo Island is also unique where magnificent beaches and the ocean meet Little Sahara sand dunes. Discover the misterious caves, hang around at spectacular bays, swim or surf at gorgeous beaches, climb on the hills or dive under the water... On Kangaroo Island, you will feel yourself under the arch of heaven!

The best way to get to Kangaroo Island is taking either own vehicle or a guided tour. The ferry to the island departs from Cape Jervis. It is possible to get to the ferry terminal by Sealink Bus that departs from Adelaide city centre. On the island Sealink Shuttle is available but own transport is recommended.
