Mossman Gorge is the south entrance of Daintree Rainforest and is just 20km west of Port Douglas. Cape Tribulation, the gorgeous town where the rainforest meets the reef, is 80km north. Keep in mind that Port Douglas is on the half way between Cairns and Cape Tribulation.

Port Douglas is also a perfect gateway to Great Barrier Reef. Woody Island is not far from the town. Alternatively, you can have a great time doing various water sports.
