Beaches in Brisbane & Surroundings

Brisbane's magnificent beaches...One of the greatest fun for Brisbanites is heading to the coast whenever possible. Due to their great luck, they only have the problem to decide, on which beach they should spend the day. Brisbane is the only city that has a man-made beach in the city centre in whole Australia. Make a visit to South Bank to witness this uniqueness. Moreton Bay also hosts numerous beaches for swimming, diving and snorkelling fans.

Would you like to relax on the beach and have fun on surf after your extensive discovery tour in the surroundings of Brisbane? Looking for an open beach for a real adrenalin pump? Well you have two chances. Either ride to north to Sunshine Coast or to south to Gold Coast. Regardless of whichever way you take, you won't get disappointed. Each coastal line has several beaches where you will have one of the most unforgettable days of your vacation.

The nearest lovely place that must be seen is Bribie Island. It is located between Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. Clear waters of magnificent Pumicestone Passage is the perfect place for swimming while this spectacular island provides small surf for newbies.

Sunshine Coast contains 4 beaches. The most popular one is Noosa Beach where only the million dollar villas can be seen. Nevertheless, it is a public beach and especially during school holidays, many families prefer to be there due to its amazingly clear and shallow water. Many restaurants and cafes are available in the region, to suppress small hungers. Other than Noosa Coolum, King's Beach and Mooloolaba offer very good surfing opportunities.

There are many beaches on Gold Coast as well. Main Beach, South Port and Burleigh are just some. Take a ride and discover even more...

Just keep in mind that you should swim between red and yellow flags, and only while the lifeguards are on duty for your own safety.
