Northern Territory

Northern Territory and it's capital city Darwin.Northern Territory (NT) is simply huge. It occupies 20% of whole Australian continent, bordered with Timor Sea, Arafura Sea and Gulf of Carpentaria on the north, South Australia on the south, Western Australia on the west and Queensland on the east. Despite the enormity of the area, the number of inhabitants is only around 200,000. The capital city of Northern Territory is Darwin which was founded as the northmost harbour in Australia. Today, Darwin serves as starting point for numerous attractions in the outback.

Northern Territory possesses several unique landmarks each of which is unforgettable. Umpteen national parks are the located on the track, Stuart Highway, that connects Darwin to Alice Springs. Kakadu National Park is one of the largest ones and offers a real lifetime experience. Uluru (Ayers Rock), sacred for Aborigines, is the world wide famous Australian icon. Creeks, rivers, waterfalls and many other inimitable landscape wonders adorning the truely red soil... Time for discovery!

How to get to Northern Territory? The international airport in Darwin would be the first step. Darwin is the nearest Australian city to Asia where most of the flights from Europe also drop by for a transit. It takes only 5 hours to reach Darwin from Singapore. Once you are in Darwin, pick up your camper or 4WD (it is recommended to book the vehicles in advance especially during the high season) and head to the amazing side in the world!
