Newcastle has been contributing to Australian economy as coal producer since nineteenth century. Being the second biggest city in NSW close to Hunter Valley, Newcastle is industrialized but this has never made a change on the "sun and fun" life style of this lovely city. The coast is equipped with 5 surfing beaches, a couple of beaches suitable for swimming, and two outdoor ocean baths that must be visited.

The walk would be in total of 5km offering unparalleled views. To be able to see some native animals of Australia, head to Blackbutt Reserve. Koalas, kangaroos, birds and many others are waiting for you there. Follow some of the bushwalking trails and recover your energy at the picnic places afterwards.
